Maybe just some smaller compressions on rhythm to extract it a bit and make it more WoOoMable

i always have a hard time making it not “fight” against the bassline without killing the “ooomph” of the drums.
that’s definately a weakness here which is kinda hard to overcome for me…
a problem that is solved really easily when using compressors from the uad-1 dsp card! they tend to make compressing sounds so easy!

so correct me if i get it wrong… the melody is not a triplet pattern, but a melodypattern with a note every two lines with the spike from the volume envelope to give it that really short time delay effect to it ? (man having a hard time trying to construct this sentence haha)
it still sounds like there is an overall shuffling/groove going on on top of the volume envelope… is this true ?

THIS. Don’t we all know this issue? I’ve got like 100+ patterns of 128-256 lenght with 2-20 tracks tuned, mixed and effected - but none of these are songs yet (or likely ever will be).
