It’s the same for the instrument editor , if you have an empty sample container and apply a volume envelope (or any other modulator ) , it won’t be triggered because it needs a sample .
I guess that’s just the way it’s designed , just load a sample with a flat line and the problem is solved

Most likely you are right. However, these functions are necessary in this field based on my experience. Also, I believe that a MIDI device for instrument control is needed here. That is, it is necessary within the instrument to create complex envelopes that will allow expanding any virtual or external instrument and saving it as a full-fledged preset. This will also relieve the mixer of unnecessary visual clutter.
