Keyboard question

Hi everyone,

I have a simple question, if anyone could be so kind to respond if you can,

I am using Surge XT as a plugin within Renoise. I want to save a patch in Surge XT, but when I try to type a name for my new patch in Surge XT, Renoise responds as if I am playing notes on the keyboard. Is there a way to temporarily stop Renoise from thinking that my keyboard is for playing notes?

if you look at the lower left hand of the plugin there is an enable keyboard option, does that help ?
