I think that Keyboard Shortcuts in Renoise v2.50 can be improved in the next version. It is VERY important for oldschool Tracker & newschool Tracker
1°) In “Preferences” Window, add a button allowing to CLEAR ALL the keyboard shortcuts (empty).
2°) Add an option allowing to enabled/disabled keyboard shortcuts from “Pattern Editor” = “Pattern Matrix” (for the same operations).
3°) In “Preferences” Window, “Keys”>“Pattern Editor”>“Pattern Sequence” : I use Keyboard Shortcuts for “Go Up in Sequencer” & “Go Down in Sequencer”. In “Pattern Matrix”, I don’t find its, why ?
4°) Can you keep the same Keyboard Shortcuts from Pattern Editor to Pattern Matrix ?
There are only a few shortcuts that are not consistent in the PM…
Ctrl up and down (for adding and removing a sequence position) and the escape key.
If the PM has focus, most keys are pretty much the same.
If you really speak about your own “custom” keyassignments in areas that do not fall under the “Global” keyboard shortcuts, then you will have to manually apply the same keyboard shortcuts on the other areas as well.
Perhaps it would be an idea to automatically apply a custom keyboard assignment to the other areas as well where the same keyboard shortcut exists.
