Laptop recommendations

Hi all,

Need to get a new laptop for work, any recommendations for something decent with a bit of power?Work requirements are minimal so I’m more interested in a good laptop to run renoise and plugins.Windows.budget is max €600

A Lenovo Thinkpad used (T series or if you don’t need the build quality L series) with 16 GB RAM.

ThinkPad T14 AMD would be my choice.

Ok thanks for the recommendation,I’ll look into this one, although I will say I don’t really want a refurbished laptop would prefer to buy brand new.

Anybody else have any suggestions?

They usually have 1 year warranty and have grade labels. The ones with high grade look like new.

I also dont like buying used but for 600 € take a Thinkpad. Are there new notebooks with 16 GB below 600€? I would not buy 8 GB

dell latitude have always been top of the line , the latitude name has now been replace by dell pro series

I like refurbed thinkpad P series. But ofc if you don’t want/need 3d graphics, T series with iGPU are also okay, just make sure the CPU can handle some load… I do Linux only, but I guess they will run fine with Windows, as well

I have a Lenovo L14 and beginning of that year I poured a whole cup of coffee over it. The notebook stayed on and I pressed the power button. After letting it dry for 3 days upside down I turned it on and absolutely everything worked. The main board was not affected at all. Now the arrow keys make some problems and will replace the keyboard for 60 bucks.

I bet the Asus would be damaged after that and a keyboard replacement is very likely also not possible.

I would go for such an offer:

If you look around abit, you will get such offers for around 600, in a better condition. It’s very good machine, even today. But it’s macos.
