No matter what I do I cant get renoise to record drumpad hits into the pattern editor accurately.
I like to record with no quantize but also no delay commands.
There always seems to be latency of about one line…
Hope renoise can tighten up the accuracy for live recording in future updates…everything is a little late

That’s a bit of a paradox - precise recordings are only reallypossible when Renoise is allowed to use the delay column.
So I guess you’ve got quantize set to 1? Which means, everything would be delayed somewhere between (almost) 1 line or less - just like you describe.
However, you can increase precision without using the delay column by increasing the overall project tempo. Or (if it’s a matter of avoiding notes “all over the place”), I made a tool which allows you to record into phrases.
However .when overdubbing a pattern loop when recording is still active , even when delay
is enabled , some notes get replaced when they fall
