Hi, let me know if i’m not looking hard enough, but i cannot seem to assign the left Alt key to any key bindings. It seems strange like renoise doesn’t recognise this key at all as there aren’t any commands assigned to it by default. is it possible to use left Alt at all?
The left Shift, Control and Alt keys are reserved and cannot be assigned by themselves, since they are important modifier keys which many other functions rely upon.
You can bind them in combination with another regular key — such as Alt + A, Alt + 1, and so on — but not Alt by itself.
Well i guess that explains it. I have the right Alt key as start/pause but keep accidentally hitting the windows start menu key, hence wanting to use the left alt key.

If you switch to fullscreen mode, I believe Renoise will ignore the Windows key
