Link instruments and tracks

Hello,

is there a way to link tracks to instruments. So when clicking on a track 1 I immediately play instrument 1 and clicking on track 2 will switch to instrument 2? At the moment I think it is not possible and I have to select an instrument first and then the track where I want it to be recorded.

I found the option Auto Capture Instrument From Pattern, which is in most cases what I want. So Renoise recognizes the instrument, when there is an already recorded note.

If there are more options, please let me know.

There are also keyboard shortcuts for it, so it not automatically switching instruments all the time when tabbing through tracks + there is also this script:
