I just recently dived into Linux and I am failing to get the Novation Launchpad running under Linux/Ubuntu Studio 64bit 12.10. I would like to use the LP with Renoise. Under WinXP, the LP is working fine with Renoise.
Here are some checks that I made:

further, I installed the driver from petit volcan
However, I did not install launchpadctl as I think this software is not needed.

The link to “LPMIDI” by petit volcan that has been posted somewhere on this forum does not work anymore. My understanding is that this driver is replaced by the one noted above.
