Literature

Just wondering what books are out there that teach the fundamentals of creating sample based music and maybe a bit about the use of trackers as well, I’m really getting into the interface of Renoise but feel that I’m pretty held back by my lack of knowledge. Any suggestions welcome. I did search but the topic was too vague.

Thanks.

Always nice to refer to old classic stuff… To score a PhD, you got to learn history first :)

on this topic i’m interested to know of any other books people rate, particularly which cover synthesis? i was quite curious about this: http://www.synthesizer-cookbook.com/

basically i plan to get way more into synthesis this year when i get reaktor and a solid reference on synthesis techniques would be useful, one which goes beyond the basics of additive and subtractive and grants you access to the upper echelons of synthesis wizardry.
