Live Internal Recording Into Sampler

Some sort of “instrument” in the sampler that can live record the internal master into the sampler would be great. I like to tinker with plugins and knobs but I find myself having to constantly input/record motion into blank patterns then rendering whatever to a sample, it’s quite tedious. I think FL has some sort of always-on recording device, same with the Roland SP’s. Would be nice to be able to grab whatever I’ve been tinkering with from the sampler whenever needed. I don’t even necessarily mean during playback, most of the time I’m doing this when playback is off, but both would be great.

Easy internal recording would be cool. Depending on your soundcard you might be able to do it right now?

yeah it would be smashing to be able to record directly in renoise without any “oh just get a loopback-capable soundcard” or “install this track dsp device”.

totally up for internal recording. opening a second renoise app and recording with blackhole or soundflower (mac) would be nice to avoid.
and at the same time, might as well make the recorder able to record the whole computer system, in different formats, wav, mp3

in some apps this is doable with the WASAPI drivers (on any sound card?) but sadly not with renoise atm.

aside from external routing software you could record the performance as midi and render the pattern.
