It would be useful if there was a button to lock the text in the “Save instrument” field to always be the same as the selected instrument name. I always save instruments using the same filename as their internal name, and it would be more convenient not to have to type in the same text twice each time.
Or if it just defaulted to that name and let you overwrite it. It seems odd that it doesn’t do that already.
Yes, by “lock” I really mean “default”. You should still be able to change the name if needed, but setting the initial text to the instrument name would seem a sensible thing to do.
