I’m encountering two visual issues when using Redux 1.4 in Logic Pro 11.2.1 on macOS 15.5 (Sequoia), Apple Silicon:
- Brief white flash when opening or closing the Redux plugin window. It appears as a solid white frame for a fraction of a second before the UI renders.
- Rendering artifact during UI resize — for example, when toggling the “Editor” panel within Redux. The transition is not clean and shows visual tearing or incomplete redraws.
These issues occur in:
- Logic Pro 11.2.1
- macOS 15.5 Sequoia
- Redux 1.4
- M2 Pro Mac mini
Similar behavior also occurs in Bitwig and Renoise itself, which suggests this may be linked to the Metal rendering pipeline or window handling at the OS level.
While this may seem minor, it can have an outsized impact on accessibility — particularly for neurodivergent users or those with sensory sensitivity, where sudden visual flashes or visual instability can be uncomfortable or even triggering.
Here’s a short video demonstrating the issue: Redux 1.4 UI Flash and Resize Artifacts in Logic Pro 11.2.1 (macOS Sequoia – Accessibility Concern)
Update: When running Logic Pro through Rosetta, the white flash no longer occurs, though the resize artifact remains. This suggests the flash may be specific to Apple Silicon-native rendering, possibly involving the Metal pipeline or window presentation layer on macOS 15.x.
