It’s a bit strange that you left this out right from the start, since every intense automation user needs it.
Maybe this has been suggested before, but I did a search and came up with nothing about this request.

It has been discussed quite a lot…
At least the bug that automation won’t be copied with the patterns will be fixed I’ve heard. About a checkbox to leave it out when copying I don’t know.
you can control in the “Advancededit” view in the “Mask” settings what you want to copy and what not (notes/instrumentnr / effectvalues, automation …)
The only options I see are :
-Notes
-InstrNr
-Volume
-Panning
-EffectNrs
-Effectvalues
-Envelopes
So where is the automation tick box?
envelopes
ok, I renamed Envelopes to “Automation” ![]()
what about an interpolation of the curvepoints by the way? In some VSTis you get the output very steppy (sounds square not linear) e.g. synth1.
thanks mate, I swear I’ll register soon.
But, uhm … it doesn’t work.
This is what I do :
-I resize a pattern to length $10
-I enter some notes
-I add a filter, got to automation, add a cutoff envelope and draw some values
-then I select my notes, do an alt-F4 (copy range)
-I resize my pattern to $20
-I go to position $10 and do an alt-F5 (paste range)
Result : the automation does not get pasted …
I think this is the bug Johan spoke about.
And talking about making it optionable : well sometimes you may want to sweep a filter to a certain range and then just let it roll with the last value of the automation without having to delete the automation every time you do a copy/paste. You can then just unclick the “copy automation” option and forget about it.
