markers vs pitchmap

Hello again

Is there a way to use the markers as triggers and still have a normal pitch-table, using Sxx?

And is there a way to chop up samples from triggerpoints into new samples?

Maybe you have already figured this out, because the two questions are actually closely related

First of all, sliced samples end up in an automatically generated ‘drumkit layout’ - switch to the key zones and you should see this.
The layout is dynamically generated, so you can change only a few things, like the base note.

And, since each slice is mapped to a single key the pitch is also fixed. Works great for drums, but not for other stuff.

The solution is to destructively render the slices (right click in sample list) and now, the samples can be arranged in any way you like.
Even better, you can create a phrase and enable the sample column - this will allow free programming of the notes, regardless of the keyzone layout (it’s basically ignored in this mode).

This also applies when the phrase is triggered with the transpose option (different from a non-sample column enabled phrase, which will shuffle around the samples according to the keyzone… also a useful feature, which can work great on drums)
