In MIDI preferences you can set up to four devices as the “master keyboard”. What does this setting actually do?
In the manual it only says: " MIDI Master Keyboard / Mapping: Connect your external MIDI master keyboard or MIDI controller to Renoise".
What does it mean if I have all A, B, C, and D devices set as master keyboards?
Four MIDI In’s innit.
it means that these 4 midi devices are used for midimapping, and for midi keyboard use.
so for instance, i’d have lpd8, akai midimix and nanopad2 and axiom25, all midimappable into the renoise midimappings or tool midimappings, and also be able to have keyboard notes trigger samples or instruments inside renoise.
