Midi Sample Dump From The Sample Editor?

Hy guys, first of all, let me introduce myself.
Im snaper, I produce music around 10 years ago (started with FT2, then IT, then MPTracker, and then I’ve used almost all of the “top” DAWS (Fl, Ableton, Logic, Cubase, PT)).
Now, Im very happy to see, that Renoise “grow up”, to integrate it into my HW based studio.

Im really interested about a feature, that allows users to send their samples from Renoise directly to the HW sampler VIA the MIDI sample dump protocol…I don’t know, how hard to implement this feature, but for me, would be very useful.
Im using Renoise now as my main sequencer with 2 samplers, 2 synths and a groovebox. When I start a tune, Renoise is not just my main seq., its a “notepad”, cause I always start with selecting samples, using them, creating a drum channel, you know, and with the FX render function (I don’t know what is the name of that feature that can add the channels FX rig to the sample), so with this feature its really easy to “prepare” the samples to “HW ready”. But in these days I have to export the samples, then open them in an external audio editor, and send them to the sampler, so it would be really really useful (for me), if I can send the samples directly from Renoise…

What you think?

This IMHO would be a perfect tasks for Renoise scripts. Maybe you can convince someone to make that real, or do it by your own. Then you don’t have to wait for us to do the job…

Here’s a project that does it in Java, if anyone is looking for inspiration to port it to Lua.

Hm…Unfortunately Im not so good at programming, but will take a look…
