I’m working with an Arturia Beatstep (original, not pro) and so far the MIDI mapping has been very easy and manageable. The only issue I’m running into is mapping the large rotary encoder. I want to use it to scroll through patterns, but I haven’t found a setting yet through Arturia’s MIDI software or Renoise to achieve this. Does anyone know if this is possible? The encoder is currently set to output cc 7 with absolute value. Thanks for any advice provided.
press ctrl+m, search for ‘seq’ and hook up your midi knob to Sequence XX [Set];
Moving the knob will now go through all patterns in the sequence list, though perhaps you will have to move the knob slowly to better notice it?

Thanks for the quick response - I think I have to do a little testing with it, but this might be what I need. I’m hoping to basically replicate the mouse scroll wheel function, but with the encoder so I can plug in notes at specific locations.
