midi through (midi routing to effects)

Hey, I try to use a VST FX that can recieve midi notes and MPE messages. Problem : these midi messages don’t seem to go throught the instrument and never reach the effect

Is there a way to route the midi messages to a VST effect ?

1• load effect device onto channel it will be effecting, as normal

2• click on an empty Instrument Slot (in the instrument section, top right)

3• in the plugin (instrument) chooser, add the “FX Alias” of the effect device from part 1 (it will be listed near the top)

• this treats the effect plugin like an instrument, so you can input note data

on a track (from this alias ‘instrument’) and it will be sent to the effect.
