I think there should be a minimum amount of time that the blink is lighting up in the instrument box, short samples blink so fast it’s hard to even notice and short clicks doesn’t even blink actually.

I have noticed this as well. For me, it’s not really an issue. If the sound is that short (some of mine are literally a single sample long), I just use my ears.
My previous Tracker had a few options when right-clicking instruments
that would really help to see if an instrument is being triggered or
just to isolate the instruments sounds:
A few of the right-click on the instrument options were:
- solo
- mute
- un-solo all
- un-mute all
Also, as described in the orginal post, the visual queues that
are present in this tracker are fantastic and improvements
there would be welcomed; perhaps there is a definition file
somewhere that can be edited to adjust the ‘blink time’?
