More GUI Textures (Please)

Damn!!! That’s so good!!! Sweet!

thank you.

Lol after your last skins I remembered doom 2 texture

HiResTex640

@sokoban what are your preferred sizes for the different textures? Yours always seem to scale well

It’s hard to answer. The sizes I use to make my screenshots only fit Renoise when it is reduced to its minimal size. If I resize Renoise, the results will be ugly. The main issue is with the textures used for background. They repeat on X axis but stretch on Y axis. It’s impossible to have a good size in all situations. Let’s say you have to choose a picture with a height more or less equivalent to your Renoise height. For the panels, textures repeat on both X & Y axis, so for those ones, I just choose a smaller texture, something like 256x256 maximum.

Idea for texture

MARIO

Time flies. More than 1 year again. Anyway, have fun with this texture inspired by a famous video game.

Sorry for the link. I edited my previous post to put a link that, I hope, will work better.

And always keep in mind that background picture will repeat horizontally and will stretch vertically, so the result can be a bit weird if you have a high resolution screen. My screenshots are done with the smallest size that Renoise can handle.

Have fun anyway!!

Ok all is fine now but what is the theme you are using it with ?

LOL… my bad… that’s insane… but yesterday I put another wrong link… I must be tired.
The link I put yesterday was OK, yes, but was a shortcut to the main folder where all ZIP files are shared.
Today, I re-edited my post to put a direct link to “Mario.zip” file, which contains the MARIO texture.

I hope this time all will be fine

  1. Download ZIP (new link in the original post)
  2. Extract the folder in your Renoise texture folder (see below)
  3. Set Renoise (menu Edit / Preferences) (see below)

I know where the textures go.What is the Renoise theme you are using so I can get the same result as your picture above?

question why is 3.4.2 better than 3.4.4? :open_mouth:

I think I’m on Default or on Default Black theme.

Found a nice pattern generator (pattern.monster), maybe it’s helpful.
