Wanted to know what films you think have interesting soundtracks.
Duh, forgot to reply to my own topic…anywho…I really enjoyed the music for “Suspiria”. It’s all lute and bells and chanting and synth. It’s really eerie. I also liked the drums and organ and yelling stuff from “Akira”. I thought the breakbeaty music in “Pi” was pretty cool as well as the catchy tune from “Requiem for a Dream”. I like a lot of the symphonic scores for Studio Ghibli movies, particularly “Mononoke Hime”. And of course Vangelis’ score for “Bladerunner” was great, though I don’t really dig the saxophony sounding romance music, but I do love the lush sci-fi sounding stuff from it. Oh and the animated film “Light Years” has retarted-awesome 80’s sci-fi tuneage.
Anything where Ennio Morricone, Vangelis, or Philip Glass have been involved with, and any movie by Tarantino or Kubrick.
You are so corect about that. Tarantino and Kubrick films do always have really good soundtracks.
I love The Proposition and it’s soundtrack, steaming heat and desolation
