Mt Sequencer Vs. Renoise Sequencer

Not always… I’ve heard some pretty shitty FL/Reason songs, and some tight Renoise songs. BUT:

  1. Since Reason, FL-Studio and Madtracker users greatly outnumber those who use Renoise, then most of the good songs will come from the other programs. (bigger community)

  2. Renoise is (in my opinion) the best software. (don’t argue, since everyone has their favorites)… So the POTENTIAL is there. I know there’s some good musicians that use Renoise, but it’d be nice if some of the MT2 heavy hitters started using RNS.

  3. A newbie coming to Renoise needs resources:

  4. Reason comes packaged with soundbanks.

  5. FL-Studio has templates, examples songs…ect

So I think i’ll post a message asking about the Renoise CD project. :D

What’s the number for FL studio? It says 35,000 on their support link.

MT community is more active about making compos, that’s for sure. but it also has a longer story to tell: ReNoise came far after MT2, and in this period its development has never had a moment of stopping.

This continue growth of the software capabilities also somehow “guided” the community to focus itself on exploring newly introduced features and searching for new ideas to be implemented; in the development process there has been a great involvement of normal users: everyone has been invited to take part to the party, and a team slowly grown, filtering out people who hadn’t got strong motivations or enough time.

This made ReNoise community more “horizontal”, so it’s more difficult to exstimate its full potential which is, in my opinion, higher than the others.
