I realize this has been mentioned before, just squeaking the wheel again because it would be a great feature. Why should I use another DAW when I just want to do everything in Renoise?

What about a new device: Recorder?
So it would sit at the end of a track/send device chain and tap the output. Line input or instrument/plugin. Same interface as Sample Recorder but with options…
It could have the the option of creating a new instrument for each device, or using one instrument with key mapping for each recorded stem.
I’m currently doing this with Bidule plugin containing a file recorder, but the workflow takes a bit more setting up.
