Multiple tracks / groups solo-ing

~~Hi,

I believe it would be very helpful if you could multiple solo track/groups, simply by clicking solo button with a modifier… It’s standard in all other DAWs, even without modifier.

No track solo -> click solo -> selected track solo -> click other track’s solo -> also this track solo -> click a solo’ed track solo -> track unsolo -> etc…~~

Read below.

Since Renoise 2.7 we’ve had a switch for a more traditional solo mode:

Preferences > Plug/Misc > Solo Mode

Aw fuck, I never realized  Thanks

And what was the diff between disabling and muting? Disabling appears to the whole track, while muting is muting before post volume? So with muting, all meta devices still will work?

And what was the diff between disabling and muting?

I always likened it to the difference between a conductor and a producer.

Off = conductor telling orchestra to stop playing, eventually comes to a halt

Mute = producer turning down fader, instant change but band is still playing

So yeah, indeed meta devices shouldreceive notes while muted

Thanks. This topic can be moved to beginner questions…

Hey danoise,

I am now using the “new” solo mode… One question arises: If I solo’ed a send track (grouping track) including it’s sending tracks, how can I again remove all solos at once?
