Ps. I was considering sharing xrns, though my track has quite a few plugins and will most probably sound entirely different without them. The file size is also approx 400MB. Is it pointless to share with this in repsect?
You could render your plugins or plugin tracks, convert them to flac, and keep the original tracks muted. That’s what I plan to do - if I actually get something done that is… People who have the plugins can still use them. For file size make sure you remove all unused samples, including those in instruments!
PS. Wasn’t there once the possibility to show a random line from a file in the startup greeting box? Like putting all the Oblique Strategies in a file? Or was that a tool? IIRC, I had this for a while?!?

yeah thought about that. Would mean that a lot of the tracks are just rendered samples though. Went a bit heavy on the plugins, but the track benefited imo. I’ll give it a go and reassess afterword.
And the random line from a file sounds interesting, never heard about it though.
My thought was to wait closer to deadline in case i want to do some changes to the track.
Ooh, all the more exciting then. I like the track as it is, and must admit, I’m a bit jealous of just how prolific you are as a producer. A new track from you pops up on my soundcloud feed more often than practically anyone else I’m following.
Release early, release often? Sounds like a good challenge
Thank you danoise, don’t think you should have much to be jealous about, but i very much appreciate your encouraging words.
I think i have musical tourettes or something, i smoke some weed, get an idea and seven hours later i’m uploading some weird music on SC.
Only rarely do i think about styles and genres, i just go with whatever that comes to mind.
I haven’t decided yet if i’m gonna do any changes, though i’d like to make a non VST version. I don’t think i can recreate the Cygnus sounds though, so i guess i would have to pre render some parts. I’m also not really satisfied with my effort to relate to the theme and the mutant factor is a bit low. I am fairly satisfied with the track like it is though, so i’m not shure…
Had to render some tracks and did best to replace some plugins with native. Some plugin heavy tracks/samples bleeding into other patterns, were rendered as stems.
I have also taken screenshots of plugins for reference and added a small automation example as there was some in the track.
I advise using a limiter on the master to avoid clipping when viewing XRNS. I removed mine as it was external, though also provided plugin screenshots.
Some levels may alter slightly to the finished track, nevertheless should give some indication of my process as best as I could translate it. Cheers
Only one more entry in and i already feel the victory slippin. Think i need to beef up things a bit if i’m gonna have a chance in this brutal furnish feud.
