It’s late and I’m not ready for bed, so…
I always liked chopping up drum wavs, no choice anyway to start with, using an audio only host (Tu2 quickly followed by Guitar Tracks Pro 3). So I move to Pro Tools for some MIDI functionality and end up chopping up MIDI drum loops instead. Now, today I watched Monsieur Baguette’s tutorial on beat slicing, which opens my eyes to what Renoise is about. Something I’ve been trying to do the hard way, made easy!
I must add that since playing about with Renoise more and more, it is a fast way to work. Great fun too.
My advice, so far… Renoise is cool.
