Back on topic, don’t gain your stuff up to make it loud. Rather, pull stuff down if it’s too loud. You can make stuff loud in final master, your prime concern during production is to make things clear.
Boost your PA and listen to it loud during prod instead.
I’m tellin ya man… just crank up the FIST and the REAM and perhaps even a bit of SCREW and you’ll sound more than womanish enough… Genesis P Orridge will be proud.
