When I try mapping the XY-pad of my Korg Nanopad2 (with latest firmware and drivers installed) to parameters within Renoise, it only activates it fully when I press the pad, but then goes back to zero when I let it go. I can’t do any actual sliding. What did I do dwrong? I mapped it, it just doesn’t work.
I searched this but got no answers.
You need to disable the Touch/Release configuration of your X/Y pad.

Then still, it’s pretty difficult to actually map e.g. the X to the X of a renoise *XY and the Y to the Y. Why? Because in Renoise midi mapping mode it’s constantly monitoring but there is no manually typing in the CC numbers. So most of the time you can simply not get just X, and then, just Y mapped to another param. I do like to use the “Touch Scale” mode though, where you can have the X signify notes on various scales, and then Y e.g. mapped to a filter or filter env amount.
