Hooray! Long live Finland! Finns are great!

(…guess where I’m from…) :P

But anyway, it’s always great to hear that the Renoise team is growing. Maybe now we have some hope of eventually getting Renoise for Linux.

Ahh renoise on the mac, wonderful news! :) I come from a mac background myself, and while I’m using a PC right now i’ll probably buy a new mac when I have some money, good to know my old pal renoise will be waiting for me.

And what about Cylab? Renoise dev?

cylab is a freelancer doing some additional programming for renoise with me together.

right now he’s working on a network-component for renoise. details will follow :)

Is that guy WoEye still on the team? He’s mentioned on the about page.

So when mac conversion is finished? And is it exact copy of pc one?
Cant wait to see it. Cheers.
kivi ja pyöri.

So when mac conversion is finished?

You will kill me if I tell you that its finished tomorrow but we didnt manage to finish it in time. Simply be prepared :)

And is it exact copy of pc one?

Yes, 98 percent of the code is equal so it will sound like Renoise, look like Renoise and feel like Renoise on the PC …

Cant wait to see it. Cheers.

kivi ja pyöri.

?

When new version is release for pc, is it released at the same time for mac
also, or is there some delay between them? And how about mac support, is it as good as pc one?

When new version is release for pc, is it released at the same time for
mac also, or is there some delay between them?

as soon as the mac version is running, new PC and mac version will be released at the same time …

And how about mac support, is it as good as pc one?

Blackis will do the support for mac specific questions/problems, all other stuff will be handled by the responsable developer or anyone of us who knows a answer/solution …

Ok. Does mac version support Altivec and L3-cache?

I really dont know why every Mac user knows of Altivec and is asking for it. Altivec is what SSE is for PC’s, but it seems that Apple tries to use this as an excuse why Appls are so slow compared to nowadays PC’s.

But to answer your question :
Yes, those parts which are for example speeded up with SSE on the PC will be speeded up with Altivec later, but this will be the last step if all other stuff is running …
