Nibbles - FT2 Lives! (3.0)

I’ve added pretty much all 39 FT levels for you. Should play okay. Slightly increased the graphic cell size from 10x10 to 15x15 just to make the playing surface a bit larger. Enjoy :)

makes me wonder if this kind of graphical representation can’t be hacked for a cellular automata like modulation script, controlling dsp/vst’s parameters:

I’m getting curious how your version of Choplifter would look in Renoise.
I notice this posts got on the new page, the previous post has an updated xrnx for those who might be overlooking it…

Vv: Ah, Choplifter. Now that would be a challenge ;)

FastTracker2 had the wrap option so the snake wraps around the playing area if he wanders off the edge of the screen, so I put that in. Cleaned up the code a bit. I’ve also fixed the slight bug that when the snake passes just behind his tail when he is growing it would clear that cell. It’s not perfect, I’m sure someone might uncover a bug or two.

I suppose that’s more my idea of what Nibbles should look like in Renoise :)

Just upgraded to this, so good! Awesome work…

It has got me wondering how you could use this as a compositional tool, imagine lots of collectable objects that trigger a midi note within a scale when they are collected, hmmm…

What’s new:
Time limit option (when the time reaches 0 it randomly places the food again), saves the options in preferences.xml, code tweaks.
