My suggestion is to add NNA functionality for VST’s in renoise, like with normal samples.
As “Cut” cannot be achieved via midi…only “off” or “hold”…maybe using a different option…
My Suggestions: Maybe per instrument set up in the midi tab, an option “On new note in same column” And then either “Off” or “Hold”…
Or simply a single Option “Holdo on new note”. To suppress sending note offs for currently playing notes in a column when a new note is encountered and triggered within the same column.
Secondary option would be considering treatment philosophy of multiple notes within same column when a note off is encountered. To just cut all playing notes from that column seems to make sense to me, trying not to complicate stuff too much.
