Nordic Rune Sound Study

I used a program called Photosounder to sound map some Nordic Runes into sounds to see if that that’s what they were originally designed to convey and to hear what they sounded like. Interesting enough seeing the image that was generated by each it seems like they’d be used as a method of levitating objects, or sound cannons and whatnot.
If there’s significant interest I think I will redo the .wav files to correspond better with lower octaves and maybe do additional Nordic symbols and well as American letters as well.
The Spectrogram app by Galmiza on Google Play Store is pretty good for seeing the images.

photosounder is fun. I like loading images of deep space & planetary nebulae etc into it. Some nice pontillistic harmonic soundscapes result

There’s really not enough hidden images within music nowadays.
