Note Cut-off

Sorry if this is an obvious question, but I have scanned the manual and cannot find a satifactory answer anywhere!

Is there a way of setting the length of a note other than using the caps lock key to cut the note off? Maybe I am looking for the wrong thing, but I can’t see any reference to a note-off command in the manual?

I am currently using a 256 line pattern and doubling the tempo to get the result I need, but I am sure there must be another way…

Thanks in advance.

Sorry Guyz - just found the answer a few posts down (duh)!

Sorry, sorry, sorry ;)

were you asking about sample offsets?
if you were theres some sweet shit you can do with the “advanced edit” tab
at the area were it says “interpolate”
you can set the begining point (like 0915) then go down to where you want it to stop and set the end point (like 0920) then select the whole area between the 2 line and click one of the interpolate button and save a hell of alot of time.
it would look like this:
e401 … … 0915 <—then select this column (with 0915 in it) from here

--------------- <-------------empty lines

e401 … … 0919 <—to here

then select ^ this column from the begining to the end
then click the button that suites what you want on the interpolate thing.

it was a real puzzle figuring out how to do that, so you might run into some problems. but if you do have problem with it just ask.
hehe, of course if that was even what you were asking about. :D

oh yeah i forgot!
if you did it right it would look something like this:

e401 … … 0915
------------0915
------------0915
------------0916
------------0916
------------0917
------------0917
------------0918
------------0918
e401 … … 0919

then you would just go back and fill in the notes:

e401 … … 0915
e401------0915
e401------0915
e401------0916
e401------0916
e401------0917
e401------0917
e401------0918
e401------0918
e401 … … 0919

hehe, then you could get kwazy with it:

e401 … … 0915
d#401…0915
d401…0915
c#401…0916
c401…0916
c401…0917
c#401…0917
d401…0918
d#401…0918
e401…0919

Hi Choice,

Nope - absolutley NOT what I was asking about… but a highly useful tip nonetheless :D

So useful in fact, that I have just used it in my first ‘proper’ Renoise track! :guitar: :drummer: :yeah:

Cheers!
