Noteahead Tracker/DAW (OSS, Linux)

My project was supposed to be just an advanced MIDI tracker. However, things have gotten out of hand and Noteahead now has built-in general purpose Synth, DrumSynth (909-like, “virtual analog”), “Sampler”, BassSynth and insert/send effects like Reverb, Chorus, Clipper, Auto Panner, Compressor etc.

The built-in instruments act like internal MIDI devices and the song can be rendered to a wav-file.

My idea was to have everything built-in: just open the project and it will always work perfectly without external plugins. And I have achieved that.

My next songs will include only instruments and effects from Noteahead. If I need something, I just implement it and then I’ll have it.

Yes, I know it’s plugin this and plugin that these days, but I wanted to announce this in the case someone finds this useful.

Noteahead 7.1.0 released:

I’m very happy with the state of the project. It’s starting to be a complete music production environment.
