Just thought of this the other day when working on beats… it occured to me that the ability to play an entire pattern as an instrument would be very cool. I would all get routed to one channel, and you could apply effects to it, etc. Just think “object oriented music” 
I’m sure this would be hell to implement, but I figured I’d start a discussion on the possibilities
