Is anyone using the full version of Oddsound mts-esp in renoise ?
I am awaiting the license for the demoperiod , but I have already installed it and two things that seem odd
1-Opening re-opening the gui gives a black screen (both vst2-3 versions )
2-The navigation tabs don’t work at all
Seriously considering buying this plugin but have to be sure it’s working ( also got in touch with developers )
Been messing around with the Ableton Live trial since I haven’t used it in years and their native microtuning stuff is pretty slick, especially for hardware synths via pitch bend. Would be nice if this could do the same for Renoise.
I’ve never got a reply from oddsound ( which is required for testdriving the full demo )
I know that Dave Gamble (DMG Audio ) is also a member of the Oddsound development , and that he has been quite bussy with the involvement of Serum @ , but no reply from the other ones ?
Dunno really , not going to shell out 150Euro when they don’t even want to respond
Ah yeah, I know that feeling.. Doesn’t really inspire confidence. Just out of interest, did you try a direct email or through their web form? Those forms seem to have a habit of making messages disappear IME.
FWIW, when I requested the demo for the Suite version the email went straight into Gmail’s spam folder for some reason. Could be worth checking if you haven’t already?
Gonna have a mess around today and see if I can get it working.
Well, using it to change the scale of sample-based internal instruments works seamlessly so that’s good.
Using it to retune MIDI devices with pitch bend falls down because (AFAIK) the only way to send pitch bend in Renoise is via the inst. MIDI control device? Essentially, whatever pitch bend the MTS-ESP client is sending has nothing to connect to in the Renoise instrument so there’s no MIDI pitch bend output by Renoise at all.
It should’ve occured to me that that would be the case really.. Might as well just save the money and manually select the tuning on sample-based instruments if there’s no clever workaround for that.
