One Of Those Days...

Edit - Beatslaughter mentioned to add some reverb to the 'ol drums. Added and it really made things come together. Got rid of certain synth in the beginning that grated my nerves.

Here is another version of it. Subtle changes.

Have listened to it a dozen times and it’s growing on me.

It’s very pleasing to my ears.

That lead reminds me of the circus or something.

Until 1:50 it sounds fine for me. I would change the drums to a something more aggressive and throw out that high chip lead. Do you know “Alec Empire - The Ride”? This could be a good inspiration for this track.

Just a sidenote, all your tracks i heard so far lack stereo width, they sound monophonic, play more with the panning values.

I haven’t heard an Alex Empire track in years. My fear is listening to his song and perhaps having it taint what I will do next.

I frown on this.

It’s bad enough I am not able to create something entirely new. I don’t want to listen to something that may make me unintentionally or deliberately use ideas from it.

You are right about a total lack of consideration for stereo.

I neglect that and need to use it to spice up my work. I played with some stereo settings last night while reading your post and it did make it sound fuller.

Why I had spent so much time composing without adding that little bit of depth is beyond me.

Thank you again for the suggestion. It will definitely benefit my productions.

:embarassed:

Also here is another version. Changed that blasted instrument in the beginning to something more appropriate and also added some reverb to the drums like you had suggested.

Also spent about 5 minutes and added a piano section. Now the hard drums would not sound right at this point. I am going to keep them very chill.

Ahh, sounds much better now. The tune has a lot of brightness now, even the simple synths sound really good now. I haven’t told you to put reverb on the drums for this song, it was for the strings in your other song, but they sound good now.

Maybe you can do mixture with the drums for variation, some with and some without reverb. Maybe throw in a dub delay at some points.

I ran stardust on the master to add just the right treble and the bass is phatter.

That suggestion was for the other song… hehe I am kinda out of it.

I will play around a bit more with variation and such.

Thank you again
