I’m trying to get used to use mouse with both hands (benefits by using both hands, relaxing other hand etc). As I’m right-handed, I’d be interested how left handed people use it… so I get used to that usage. I guess, it is more practical to use it with right-hand buttons in the left hand but maybe some people switch buttons using some software… I’d be interested to know about that. Please fill the above poll, the results may be interesting…
I’m left-handed, but when I was a child a teacher forced me to write with right hand.(*)
I can use mouse with both end with no problems, but I never felt the need for switched buttons. On the cornary, that would confuse me, as for me “the left button” is the left button.
Anyway, I know a left-handed guy who actually use swapped buttons
(*) I don’t know if Italy was the only country in the world where in the '80s there were still people thinking that left-handed people were mad and prone to Satan, anyway my teacher was one of those, and she also thought that the best way to save me was to force me to be right-handed
my supervisor at work writes with her right hand, but uses her mouse with her left hand. she’s switched her mouse buttons around so the right button clicks. i guess it’s so she can write and use the comp at the same time. pretty smart idea actually. i’m constantly putting my pen down and picking it back up all day
Third poll option: left hand, normal buttons, pointer finger = click, pointer finger = menu, middle+pointer = both
That’s been my way for 18 years.
i’m left handed an i use my index finger for all of it.
i was once in a left handed shop and they had a left handed clock that went backwards.
some people…
I am Ned Flanders Lefthanded, too but except writing with left I do everything else like those right-handed-people
I’m a bit ambidextrous with my mouse, I tend to swap hands, but I use a mac so one click for all
I always bring my trusty MS Comfort Optical Mouse when I am forewarned I will have to use a Mac…
[offtopic]been wanting one of those for so long!!![/offtopic]
