I think it’s a nice idea. For the tape sound, I don’t think bitcrushing (LofiMat) is appropriate. When I want to simulate tape with native FX I do a subtle lowpass with Analog Filter, optionally with a little drive.
You are probably right, but I was looking at the film from a household tape recorder, which is actually of much worse quality. on the other hand, you can probably add a solution in this sense, it might also turn out interesting
in general, renoise lacks the ability to launch a random sample as a second layer without changing the tonality. as an option, if I wanted to launch a conditional vinyl sound in the background without changing it, this would be extremely useful for such a scenario.
