hi guys i was wondering if any of you wizards have a link for the recipe on how to optimize windows xp for music programming. by that i mean…changing standard configuration which takes to much CPU and so on…

Start->Settings->Control Panel->System->Advanced->Performance->Settings
Choose “Adjust for best performance” and press apply
Start->Settings->Control Panel->Administrative Tools->Services
Right click on Themes and Choose “Properties”, then select “Disabled” in the “Startup Type”-dropdown
That is a good begining.
- As little as possible icons on the desktop.
- No Background Picture, or atleast streetch a really small one.
- Turn of Internet while tracking. as i do.
