I think it would be nice to make a choice between “%” and “Db” in all sliders…
i was very disappointed to see only Db parameters
hope you will ad this feature next version

Why not both as a preference? I clearly prefer dB. Give the choice.
Any FEEDBACK???
Honestly, I don’t see a reason for having volume in %. I don’t remember seeing this in other apps and I certainly don’t miss such a feature.
Why do you think this would be useful?
First of all, the volume is measured in percentages of what the plugin (if involved) or sample amplitude outputs it to, so the db should be measured in realtime to make this value actually true dB values. Samples can have different amplitude levels but VSTI’s can deliver different (user customisable) amplitude levels as well and if that’s not enough there is a whole scale of vst effects that process the audio and you can set the amplitude in there as well.
imho most apps that have a dB amplitude knob or slider is actually a lie because the application interpret its own level of audio from its routine’s own base level, while it doesn’t measure the actual amplitude of the feed it gets.
But it’s my assumption it would make it a more interesting discussion if someone who really knows the true inside of those applications to shed a light on it.
thats the point… its exactly what i’m try to tell…
The DB marker indicates how many DBs of amplification have been applied to the original signal. Every professional audio program I’ve worked with works this way. This in mind, a percentage marker would not make sense at all, considering that a program like Renoise can process sounds that are louder than the maximum outputted volume without clipping. The DBs displayed are not “false” as they only show amplification, not signal level. For signal level, look at the bars across the top of the screen
but in most of sound editors (Adobe Audition, e.t.c) i can choose between db or %…
