Testdriving it right now , pretty cool
Envelopes are snappy , inlcuding verry short attack + decay phases and still retaining full mod depth , something renoise simply can’t do .
Only downside is that yo need to repeatedly press the cursor keys instead of holding down
And..it’s cpu hog when idling ..reading 35% on taskmanager cpu ( intel i7 from 2016)
great! there was funatone GitHub - jangler/faunatone: Tracker-style microtonal MIDI sequencer by the same developer
Oh the smooth scrolling my most wanted wish for Renoise
There is even in pattern zoom (ctrl+wheel ) for fine incredibly fine note resolution ,1/512th of a note I guess ..amazing
The synthesis engine is a bit limited and I would love to see operetor feedback .
Hate to say it . but this is really forward thinking and novel ..
I agree, but sooner or later it would have happened.
I am even too dumb to find “load song”…
ctrl O
Demo songs are real nice too
The instrument designer is pretty flexible , you can choose fm , ringmod, am etc..
The modmixer lets’you modulate almost everything , including other mod sources - modamounts
I wouldn’t mind havig this kind of stuff in renoise
Reall hopeing the cpu will get brought down , because it’s really high even with an empty project
Cool app, coded in Rust, not sure still if there was any GUI lib used, or this is coded from scratch completely…
Ah, based on macroquad gaming engine, implementing input fields and so on, nice:
The smooth pixelscrolling is the best i’ve seen so far for a Tracker and its OpenSource. Maybe Taktik can inspect the Code and get some inspirations and ideas to make this optionally work in Renoise for potent hardwaresystems.
happy tracking
It seems like a small thing, but such a thing as a kit is also very convenient, you can assemble one convenient compact patch from several instruments. It is especially convenient when you use many synthesizers to create a drum line.
Imagine if Renoise unified the sampler and plugin tabs and you could stack VSTs in slots…
Update.
Yep ,been testdriving latest build ..all good
Great developer !
I haven’t figured out yet how to construct kits
I wrote to the author that there was no manual. I think you need to double him request
Yep , found out how to do it
Pretty easy ,
I really dislike that the arrow buttons can’t be continously held down for navigating
There are still a few things that are puzzling
I can add hex data in the vol - mod column but how do I add these vertical lines ( shown in yellow ) , which I assume is a smooth interpolation between values …for glissando , pitch bend effects ?
Edit found it , make selection between values and just interpolate
This program is just Brutal !
