It would be nice if i could paste in sample editor “over” previous waveform so i can replace chunks in sample. And “insert silence” into selected area would be nice too.
Shouldnt be hard to implement.

Mix paste is mandatory for nice tidy loops.
You can already insert silence…
Just highlight an area and turn the volume right down using the volume tool.

That’s not inserting, that’s replacing sound with silence…
Renoise could do very well with more sample editor options… like undo/redo…

I agree that the sampler needs extra work.
It is really good as it is, but anything extra would be cool.
