Pattern launching

Sorry if this has been answered already, I did search around first but could only find ancient posts…

Is there a way to launch/trigger patterns on the fly by assigning them to keys on the keyboard (computer or midi) and having them switch in a quantized manner? Also, ideally, to be able to record that sequence in as well.

Drag and drop it on the Renoise gui but i dont think this tool works on the Latest version of Renoise
