Pattern Matrix Tips & Tricks

Drag And Drop:

  • Hold Down Control while dragging to Copy stuff (instead of Moving)
  • Hold Down Control + Shift while dragging, to insert stuff into new Patterns (Extemely useful!)

Selection & Mouse:

  • Hold down Shift before clicking, to create a selection that spawns multiple tracks and/or sequences
  • Control + Click allows removing/adding single slots from an existing selection. This way you can for example select everything from lets say Track 1 to Track 5, then exlude a sinle slot at lets say Track 2

Muting Slots:

  • Click with the Middle Mouse Button or with the ALT key on slots to mute/unmute them quickly
  • Muting/Unmuting also works for multiple selected slots
  • Alt + Click + MMB also works in the Track Scopes To quickly mute what you’re currently playing

Though stuff such as Ctrl+A is Ctrl+Q here, because I’m on an azerty. Though I’ve never had this in any other program that the Qwerty and Azerty shortkeys are different. How come it’s always like this in Renoise? :s

We are mapping locations on the keyboard, not the labels on the keyboard or characters for most shortcuts…

I don’t see any advantage in doing that.

Smart stuff!

Awesome

Quickest way to make sure that you notes are in order across all keyboard layouts.
