I usually use the buttons on my MIDI but sometimes I use CTRL+Arrowkeys, but it would be nice to have a couple icons tacked at the tend of the REC button up at the top left of the screen; there seems to be enough room at the top menu bar for more things.

Indeed, it’s a bit peculiar that there is no “transport” in the transport section 
However, using the mouse scroll wheel over the sequence list (far left) is very nearby.
