I was going to purchase but I really do not like the look of the Avangate payment system.

Avangate is simply the payment processor used by Renoise — it makes it easy to accept a wide range of different payment systems, accommodating users around the globe.
They accept credit card, bank transfer, PayPal, etc.
So you can quite easily buy a Renoise license through Avangate using PayPal as your preferred option, if you wish.
The delivery of your Renoise license is usually “instant” as long as your PayPal payment clears immediately — i.e. if your PayPal is linked to a credit/debit card, bank account, or if you have existing credit on your PayPal account.
