If there was an ‘sample number’ column (akin to instrument number column in pattern editor) that when filled with a sample number would only apply to that sample’s playback, the phrase editor would quite a bit more powerful.

This would be super handy for drums. Not just phrases but layering with timing offsets for more dynamic sound.
Yes, a bit like standard daws often have piano-roll vs. drum layout. But also, this would be handy for transposing notes that would otherwise require 0Gxx tricks
