Phrase questions Zxx / autoseek

Hey. I’m trying to figure out how to switch phrases with the Zxx command but can’t seem to sort it out. Can anyone help with that? I launch a phrase in the pattern editor, and then further down the sequence put -Z02 to trigger another phrase but it doesn’t switch. I must be missing something very simple here.

Also, does anyone know how Autoseek for phrases differs from samples? I was hoping to use it to make the phrases legato but it’s not seeming to work.

Are you associating the Z command with a note? Like:

C-4.. -Z02

Ah no I wasn’t. I thought you just trigger 1 phrase and then can switch it on the fly w the Z. So you have to add ghost notes also I’m guessing
